Nice place, great deal in Wailea. The Diamond Resort offers little condo-like hotel rooms at a good price. The rooms themselves are spacious and pleasant, with a little stove and fridge (no oven). Dishes and pots provided upon request. This made breakfasts and lunches easy and cheap. Our "partial ocean view" was in fact a panoramic view of the sea, which was quite wonderful. The decor is a little dated, straight out of 1986, and the place could use an update. However, it was clean, spacious, and nice.

The grounds are lovely, and the Japanese baths were a nice place to soak and relax. Oddly, the place always seemed empty--the front desk told us that they were pretty full, but no one was around! The pool is a little disappointing, but you are less than half a mile from the beach, so who cares? We got a great deal, making this place a gem.
