great hotel

we stayed at the kai tower and it was really a great experience. when we arrived at the hotel there's warm towels for the guests. very courteous staff. we were upgraded to an oceanview room without us asking for it. very nice view , updated room, very stylish. no bathtub though but the shower was spacious, very comfortable bed. very clean. the restaurant's food isn't that good though. small pool located in front of the restaurant, no privacy from the dining guests. but the rooms are spectacular.

Some Problems, Recommended it Overall

I used this website (and others) to judge the resort. After reading some of the reviews, I must admit, I was scared that I made the wrong chose. Happily, everything on the trip was great. I can see what some of the reviewers were saying with the resort being old; my ceiling fan was noisy, the toilet seat was loose, and the water pressure was week.

Those were easy things to look pass, especially since the price was so reasonable. Everyone was very friendly and the beach was outstanding. Take a stroll to Black Rock for great snorkeling. The location of the resort was good also; you must try a restaurant a few blocks away (31 & Front St) called Canoe. Another tip that I found was to request a odd number room in the main tower if you dont have an ocean view.

Overall I would recommend this resort.

a room with a view

If you want to listen to waves pounding the shore and overlook a beautiful beach, go for the oceanfront rooms. If you won't be in your room much anything will do. If you have kids you might want to get a ground-level cottage room. The kids can run in and out, but beware, if you don't have kids and want a romantic time.. the cottage walls are paper thin!!!

• Cons: tired property, needs updating, internet at 26k
