Could be good but needs to step it up..
Cafe des amis is a cute and sweet place but they really need to go organic with at least their dairy products. I live in Paia and would definately patronize the place if they would make an effort to be more organic. At least the dry goods and the dairy products. Produce when available is always ok but keep in mind, they are located across the street from Mana foods- the biggest health food store in Maui- it is time to step it up!!
Please, everyone, let them know it is important to you and that they will be supported if they go organic. It is time for the whole island to demand and support cleaner foods. Conventional animal products and GMOs should not be supported. They are bad for our health and our environment.
Cafe des Amis will be a true friend of Maui, the Aina and all of its people if it will just take the organic leap of faith. It is up to us all to support the people and the places who are doing it right.
