Wine Special2009 Mer Soleil Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands. Mer Soleil Chardonnay is part of the Caymus family of wines. In 1988 Chuck Wagner, Owner/Winemaker of Caymus Winery expanded & built a separate winery in Monterey County specifically to make World-Class Chardonnay from grapes grown in the Monterey Region. The Santa Lucia Highlands has some of the coolest but also driest grape growing regions in California. This wine has beautiful tropical fruit notes, very lush, great texture w/ a hint of butter. A tiny bit of oak is apparent but not defining. A beautiful California Chardonnay. An enjoyable food pairing w/ any of Chef Isaac's seafood creation. Enjoy!Options:
