Deluxe rooms are surrounded by groves of Norfolk pine, banyan, eucalyptus and jacarandas. Modernized room decor recalls an early Hawaiian plantation with carved four-poster beds, quilted pillows and colorful paintings by local artists. The feeling here is that of a grand estate, with the use of heavy timbers, high-beamed ceilings and natural stone fireplaces. A stately Great Hall is filled with Pacific art and artifacts; it leads to a spectacular porch, which offers a perfect setting for afternoon tea. A library, music room and trophy room further the feeling that you are in a grand house rather than a hotel.
