Best All Around

The food here is outstanding. It's consistent. It's Tasteful. It's priced reasonably. No matter what type of food, it's all wonderful....the appetizers (I suggest trying the seared ahi and the calamari)....the pasta (rigatoni beverly hills is my favorite).....the entrees (filet mignon w/ the brandi demiglaze sauce, yummy !)....desserts (creme bulee with chunks of fruit)....pizza (made in a wood burning oven, do i need to say more)....i really love the food here. i had moved away to nevada for a couple of years and during my time there, i did not find a restaurant that topped casanova. Italian food is definitely at the top of my list, so i have tried many different Italian restaurants in Nevada and nothing compared to Casanova Restaurant.

I love Casanova! How boring life Upcountry would be without it! Great food, reasonable prices, always friendly service. I think I patronize it weekly! I love the ravioli, the Duck and the all the pizzas. Hard to find so much variety and so much quality.

I don't get it.

I don't get it. Perhaps we went on an off day. The food was not the quality I expected after reading the other reviews on this site. I was not the only one disappointed in my meal, the two other people with me also had sub-par dishes. The pasta I ordered was tasteless, I had to ask for extra parm to get any taste happening. The waitstaff brought the cheese about 20 minutes after I requested it, as it turned out it only helped the dish a little as the pasta was overcooked. We couldn't understand the inattentive service since the restaurant wasn't that busy (although the service was bad the waitstaff was friendly). We did go for lunch so maybe it's a different story for dinner.

• Cons: Tasteless food. Inattentive service.

Not many tourist places that you look forward to going back to year after year. What impressed me most with this restaurant,which is out of the way, in regards to the touristy places, what that the owner not only rememberedme 6 month later, but he remembered where i was from and that I had celebrated my birthday there 6 month earlier. Way to go Stephan!

What a difference from any other place in Maui. A great value without being cheap. Great food, relaxed service and a fun atmosphere. I felt at home and yet I was so far from it....
