Good option for families that are independent travelers. WorldMark maintains a resort in Kihei that is just up from Kam'aole beach. There is an ABC store across the street, which is very convenient for sundries and snacks as well. We stayed for 7 nights in February. Generally, you need to be a WorldMark vacation owner to stay here, or the guest of an owner. The condo we had was a 2-bdrm./2-bath. It was nicely appointed, with a full kitchen, dining and living areas, plus a stacked washer/dryer with a few detergent packs (very convenient). There are bath and pool towels in the rooms. Now, they do not clean your room during your stay, but you can get extra soap and a towel/sheet change-out by calling the office. There is a nice pool area with jacuzzi pool and clubhouse. They have orientation meetings (with snacks) every morning. These are to make you aware of various activities you may wish to book through the resort. The resort also has craft activities (for $) you may wish to utilize. We made kukui nut leis, flower leis, and woven frond baskets on different nights during our stay. It was fun. We saw some families bring their children over to make kukui nut leis while we there. There are bbq facilities available (several areas) as well as your own kitchen to cook in if you want. We did choose to have lunch/dinner at the condo on several occasions, which helped save money (so we could spend it on tours and snorkeling). We had a partial ocean view from our top floor condo, but it was a pretty amazing partial view. We also had a pretty large balcony with a table and 4 chairs. The beds were fine and fairly cozy (king in one room, queen in the other, also a Murphy bed near the front door).…
